Tourism Solomons closes off 2018 with flurry of media visitation
Pictured at the Heritage Park Hotel in Honiara, the six Australian and New Zealand media along with their Tourism Solomons hosts who recently visited the Solomon Islands as guests of the national tourist office’s International Media Visitation Program (IMVP).
Focus for the media program centred on diving, culture, WWII, and history, snorkelling with itineraries including Tulagi and the Florida islands, Munda, Gizo and Rendova Island in the Western Province and Guadalcanal.

November will also see one of the world’s foremost bird watching media, Mark Cocker and his photographer David Tipling visit the Solomon Islands along with senior German freelance writer Florian Michael Sanktjohanser representing Frankfurter Allgeime Sonntagszeitung, one of Germany’s biggest travel publications..
In December the national tourist office will host six media all of whom will participate in a Solomon Islands Discovery Cruise program to the Russell and Florida Islands.
