The competition between South Pacific nations has always been fierce, and as they all share many geographical similarities, the challenge for each is showcasing their uniqueness and authenticity.
That’s what you get with the Solomon Islands. It’s not pretending to be something it’s not – what you see is what you get, and that’s refreshing for travellers.
Add to that the fact that Australia is currently going through a rough economic patch, with many consumers set to tighten their purse strings and look for cheaper travel alternatives closer to home, and agents have a compelling argument for selling the Solomons.
