The man considered as the greatest rugby sevens player of all time, Waisale Serevi has arrived in Honiara to cheer on his Fijian compatriots competing in this weekend’s Oceania Rugby Sevens Tournament in Honiara.
Serevi more than lives up to his GOAT (greatest of all time) status.
He has won the Hong Kong Sevens five times, making him one of the most successful rugby sevens players of all time, in 1990, he was named player of the tournament after Fiji won the first of three consecutive Hong Kong Sevens titles, and in 1992, he was again named player of the tournament.
Adding to his long list of honours, he won a silver medal at the 1998 and 2002 Commonwealth Games and a bronze medal in 2006.
