Solomon Islands Dive Expeditions (SIDE) offers some of the best and most diverse scuba diving in the Solomon Islands. With over 992 islands and over 5000km of coast line, much of Solomon Islands is only accessible by boat so why not explore on a liveaboard vessel?

The 30m custom built Taka is the newest vessel in the Solomon Islands and offers year round diving trips. With 13 air-conditioned cabins, Taka can cater for up to 26 guests. The upper deck hosts the Master Suite and Deluxe cabins, all of which have en-suite bathrooms and seating areas and storage space. The lower deck Standard and Quad cabins have shared bathrooms and are an excellent economy option.

Most diving from the Taka Liveaboard takes place from the mother ship, to give time in the water and maximum amount of diving. The spacious dive deck has toilets, freshwater showers & rinse bins for equipment and camera gear and ample storage space. Divers will enjoy the amazing bio-diversity of the Solomon Islands, with walls, bommies, wrecks, beautiful coral gardens, amazing macro and pelagics, there is something for everyone. When you are not diving, there are plenty of outdoor spaces to enjoy including a covered lounge perfect for reading and the observation deck where you can lay in a hammock and watch the amazing views of islands as we cruise.

In addition to diving, your tour will include visits to some of the more remote villages, beach picnics and WWII historical tours. It’s a wonderful way to interact with the local people and experience the true hospitality of the Solomon Islands.
